Safe in San Juan Capistrano
Well, that was a LONG day. Wakeup call was at 6:00 AM this morning, and we were on the road for most of the day. A wonderful breakfast at the hotel, a quick loadup of the bus and off we went!
One thing I've noticed particularly about this group is how quickly they have bonded. The bus trip does wonders for that, but most of the time is spent in the back playing games, laughing together and generally just enjoying one another presence. A great thing to see, and says a lot to each of their characters.
For lunch, we stopped at the famed In-N-Out Burger. We did our fair share in calories, and got schooled in the hidden menu that makes this such a fantastic burger stop.
From there, it was straight on till dinner, where we stopped at Claim Jumper and enjoyed American sized portions. A short two hour journey brought us safely to our hotel for the evening.
A trip like this isn't just fine dining and fun, however. Tomorrow is a wakeup call of 7 AM, and then we head for the border, for the real fun to begin. We expect to be at the orphanage late tomorrow afternoon, and have an opportunity to get settled in for the work ahead of us. That's where the real ministry begins.
Thank you for your continued prayers! I'm looking forward to sharing with you the work that God is doing in and through us in the coming days. You can expect nightly updates from the orphanage, and I'll do what I can for pictures, internet dependant.
